Academic Calendar - Important Dates
* Includes holidays, teacher work days, and referral/homework club days.
*Referral Days/Homework Club are for 3rd-7th grade students who have received more than 4 detentions during the month or have repeatedly failed to turn in assignments and/or homework in on time ; attendance is mandatory and lasts from 8:30 a.m -3:00 p.m.
August 24 - Back to School Night, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
September 1 - First Day of School (we highly recommend all academic students attend on this day, as we will cover daily schedule, lesson structure, dress code, behavior expectations and regulations, etc.)
September 7 - No School - Labor Day
October 12 - No School - Columbus Day
November 23-27 - Thanksgiving Break, No School
November 27 - Referral Day/Homework Club
December 21 - January 8 - Christmas Break, No School
February 15 - President's Day, Referral Day/Homework Club, No School
March 22-25 - Spring Break, No School
March 22 - Referral Day/Homework Club
March 26 - Good Friday, No School
March 28 - Easter Sunday
April 23 - Teacher Work Day, Referral Day/Homework Club, No School
May 28 - Last Day of School
Field Trips & Events
*Volunteers are needed to make field trips possible.
*Field trips are not final and may be subject to change. Parents will be notified if there are any changes.
September 25 - Harvest Celebration 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
September 26 - Living History Day (Colonial America Experience) 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (This is an optional field trip for families, so we will not be going as a group, unless families decide to go together. I highly recommend attending.)
October 11 - Denver Museum of Nature and Science
December 18 - Annual Christmas Party 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
*For the month of May, we will have a field trip planned each week, ending with our annual day at the park on the last day of school. More details to come.
